Methi Mattar Subji
Ingredients
- 3 cups Green Peas, Fresh / பச்சைப் பட்டாணி - mattar
- 2 bunch Fenugreek leaves, Fresh / வெந்தயக் கீரை - methi, chopped
- 1 tsp Shahi Jeera
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
- 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 1 tsp Goda Masala powder - optional
- 2 tbsp Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan
- Temper shahi jeera in it
- Add and sauté methi leaves well
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, goda masala powder, salt and mix well
- Add fresh green peas and add little water
- Simmer the flame and cook well until water dries up
- Add besan and mix well
- Add little oil, if required and fry a bit
- Serve hot with rice and/or roti
