Mini Sambhar Idli
Ingredients
- 3 cup Rice / அரிசி
- 1 cup Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
- 1 tbsp Fenugreek seed / வெந்தயம்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு
Instructions
- Soak rice and urad dhal, fenugreek separately in water 6~8hrs
- Drain water and grind urad dhal and fenugreek into fine batter, add water only if necessary, keep aside
- Drain water and grin rice into little coarse batter, add little water
- Mix rice, urad dhal batter, salt well
- Allow it to ferment and rise for 6~8hrs
- Mix well
- Fill the batter into idli plates
- Steam it for 10min and 5 more min in simmer
- Allow it to cool
- Remove all the idlis into a pan
- Add sambhar and little water to it
- Heat and bring to a boil
- Serve hot
