Ingredients
  

  • 4 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - cut large pieces
  • 4 nos Tomato / தக்காளி - cut large pieces
  • 6~8 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய்
  • 4 tsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 4 tsp Oil / எண்ணெய்

Instructions
 

  • Heat 2tsp oil in a pan
  • Fry urad dhal until golden brown
  • Fry dry red chili
  • Add onion and saute until raw smell vanishes
  • Add tomato and saute until mushy
  • Allow it to cool
  • Grind the above in a mixer into a smooth paste
  • Heat rest of oil and temper mustard and curry leaves
  • Add chutney into the pan
  • Add salt and mix well

Notes

Serve with idli, dosa
