Oven Roasted Chinese Yam
Ingredients
- 500 gm Chinese Yam - peeled n cut circular, [Careful while cutting, due to presence of mucilage the yam becomes sticky]
- 2 tbsp Corn flour
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 2 tbsp Olive oil / ஆலிவ் எண்ணெய்
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice / எலுமிச்சை சாறு
Instructions
- Mix chinese yam, corn flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt well
- Spray oil, toss well so that it is applied to all sides of yam
- Spray lemon juice
- Marinate it for about 30min
- Pre-heat oven to 200°C
- Arrange the yam over a baking sheet and roast for 15min
- Turn the yam and spray/brush remaining oil and roast for another 10~15min or until crispy
Notes
Serve hot along with rice or just eat it
