Ingredients
  

  • cup Chana Dhal / கடலைப் பருப்பு
  • ½ cup Thoor dhal / துவரம் பருப்பு
  • 2 tbsp Rice, raw / பச்சரிசி
  • 3 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய்
  • 3 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய்
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
  • 500 ml Oil / எண்ணெய்

Instructions
 

  • Soak channa dhal, thoor dhal, rice in adequate water for about 1hour
  • Grind channa dhal, thoor dhal, rice, green chili, red chili coarsely, reserve about ¼of dhal
  • After grinding mix the reserved ¼of dhal along with salt, asafoetida and curry leaves
  • Divide them into equal sized balls
  • Flatten each balls and fry them in hot oil until golden brown
  • Garnish with coriander
  • Serve hot with chutneys or ketchup
