Paruppu Vadai
Ingredients
- 1½ cup Chana Dhal / கடலைப் பருப்பு
- ½ cup Thoor dhal / துவரம் பருப்பு
- 2 tbsp Rice, raw / பச்சரிசி
- 3 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய்
- 3 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய்
- 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
- ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
- 500 ml Oil / எண்ணெய்
Instructions
- Soak channa dhal, thoor dhal, rice in adequate water for about 1hour
- Grind channa dhal, thoor dhal, rice, green chili, red chili coarsely, reserve about ¼of dhal
- After grinding mix the reserved ¼of dhal along with salt, asafoetida and curry leaves
- Divide them into equal sized balls
- Flatten each balls and fry them in hot oil until golden brown
- Garnish with coriander
- Serve hot with chutneys or ketchup
