Polus Ambula
Ingredients
- 500 gm Tender Jackfruit - sliced
- 1 nos Tomato / தக்காளி - diced
- 2 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - sliced
- 2 cup Coconut Milk / தேங்காய்ப் பால்
- 3 pod Garlic / பூண்டு - sliced
- 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - chopped
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 tsp Curry powder
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
- 1 tsp Goraka paste - if available
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
Instructions
- Mix turmeric paste, goraka paste, red chili powder, salt and marinate for 60min
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add onion, garlic, green chili and fry them well
- Add tomato and fry until mushy
- Add marinated tender jackfruit
- Add curry powder and mix well
- Add coconut milk and cook until jackfruit is soft
- Once the gravy becomes thick, switch off flame
- Serve hot with rice
