Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Banana, raw / வாழைக் காய்
  • 1 pinch Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
  • 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - paste
  • 1 tsp Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - paste
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder / மல்லித் தூள்
  • ½ tsp Mango powder, Dry
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 250 ml Oil / எண்ணெய் - for frying

for Gravy

  • 1 inch Cinnamon stick / லவங்கப் பட்டை
  • 1 nos Cardamom, Black / ஏலக்காய்
  • 1 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - chopped
  • 1 nos Tomato / தக்காளி - pureed
  • 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - paste
  • 1 tsp Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - paste
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
  • ½ tsp Cumin powder / சீரகத் தூள்
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder / மல்லித் தூள்
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala powder
  • 10 nos Cashew nut / முந்திரிப் பருப்பு - soaked in milk and ground
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி

Instructions
 

  • Cut ends of raw banana and into half, do not peel the skin
  • Boil in enough water with little turmeric powder until tender
  • Drain the water and allow raw banana to cool
  • Peel the skin and grate it
  • Add grated raw banana, onion, ginger paste, green chili paste, coriander powder, amchur powder, coriander leaves, besan, salt and mix well
  • Sprinkle little water if necessary for binding
  • Make lemon sized balls and keep aside
  • Hear oil in a pan
  • Deep fry the balls until golden brown and keep aside

for Gravy

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add cinnamon, black cardamom and fry a little
  • Add chopped onions and fry until transparent
  • Add ginger, garlic paste mix well
  • Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and mix well
  • Add tomato puree and cook for 5min
  • Add cashew nut paste, garam masala powder, salt and mix well
  • Add ½cup of water and bring to a boil
  • Cook in low flame for 10min, keep stirring in between
  • Switch off the flame

Serving

  • Take 2~3 koftas in a cup
  • Add hot gravy over it
  • Garnish with coriander
  • Serve hot with chapati or pulka or paratha or naan
