Rice Poori
Ingredients
- 2 cup Rice flour / அசிரி மாவு
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 2 tbsp Ghee / நெய்
- 50 ml Oil / எண்ணெய் - for frying
for Grinding
- 1 cup Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - grated
- 1 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - randomly chopped
- 1 tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
- 10 nos Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
- 2 ~ 3 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - adjust to your spice level
Instructions
- Grind all ingredients into fine paste
- Mix rice flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt in a large bowl along with ghee
- Add ground paste and kneed into a dough
- Heat oil in a frying pan
- Grease oil over a baking sheet or banana leaf
- Take a small portion of dough and pat flat by hand into poori, do not pat it too thick or too thin
- Deep fry in oil by flipping and cook both sides
- Serve with suitable curry
