Ingredients
  

  • 3 cup Vermicelli / சேமியா
  • 1 nos Potato / உருளைக் கிழங்கு - chopped
  • 2 nos Tomato / தக்காளி - chopped
  • 2 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - long cut
  • 1 nos Carrot / காரெட் - chopped
  • 50 gm French Beans, Fresh - chopped
  • 2 – 3 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - long slit
  • 2 tbsp Green Peas, Fresh / பச்சைப் பட்டாணி
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 1 tsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
  • 5 – 10 nos Cashew nut / முந்திரிப் பருப்பு
  • 3 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat 2tbsp oil in a pan
  • Fry vermicelli until golden brown, keep it aside
  • Heat rest of oil in the same pan
  • Temper mustard in it
  • Add urad dhal, cashew and fry until golden brown
  • Add green chili, onion and fry them until transparent
  • Add rest of vegetables sauté well
  • Add fried vermicelli, salt, mix well
  • Add 3cup of water
  • Mix well and cook for 5min
  • Serve hot with curd or coconut chutney

Notes

Note:
* If you need the upma to be roasted, simmer the flame and allow to roast, be careful do not char it
