Spanish Omlette with Vegetables
Ingredients
- 6 nos Egg / முட்டை - beaten
- 1 cup Carrot / காரெட் - grated
- 1 cup Spinach leaves / பசலைக்கீரை - chopped
- 2 tbsp Bell Pepper / குடை மிளகாய் - diced
- 1 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - diced
- 4 pod Garlic / பூண்டு - minced
- 1 inch Ginger / இஞ்சி - minced (optional)
- 2 tbsp Spring Onion - cut
- 2 tbsp Mint leaves, Fresh / புதீனா இலை - chopped (optional)
- 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - minced (optional)
- 50 ml Olive oil / ஆலிவ் எண்ணெய்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust according to your taste
- 1 tsp Black Pepper / மிளகு - freshly powdered
Instructions
- Heat little olive oil in a pan, preferably a non-stick pan
- Sauté onion, garlic, ginger, green chili, spring onion, bell pepper in order, finally spinach for about 2min
- Add salt, pepper, mix well
- Add above vegetable mix, carrot, mint to the beaten egg, mix well
- Add rest of oil into the pan, evenly spread it well
- Pour the above mix
- Cook for 2 min in high flame
- Lower the flame and cook until the top portion becomes little solid
- Take a flat plate which is slightly bigger than the pan
- Cover the pan with a plate
- Now carefully reverse the pan such that the omelet is well placed over the plate
- Slide the omelet back to the pan carefully
- Cook for about 3~5min for the other side to cook
- Switch off the flame
Notes
Serve hot with ketchup or hot chili sauce
