Stuffed Tindora
Ingredients
- 500 gm Tindora
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 – 2 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
- 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder / மல்லித் தூள்
- 1 tsp Mango powder, Dry
- 2 tbsp Coconut, Dry / தேங்காய் உலர்ந்தது - grated
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
- 4 – 5 tsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
Instructions
- Wash and pat dry tindora
- Cut vertically into four, leaving the top portion intact
- Mix turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, amchur, dry coconut, salt
- Stuff the dry masala mix into the cut tindora
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add cumin and allow it to splutter
- Simmer the flame
- Add the stuffed tindora
- Sprinkle left over masala over it
- Add 4~5 tbsp of water, close the pan with a lid and cook until tindora is tender
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
- Serve hot
