Ingredients
  

  • 250 gm Pumpkin / பரங்கிக் காய்
  • 1 tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
  • 5 – 10 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய் - adjust to your spice level
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Chana Dhal / கடலைப் பருப்பு
  • 1 tsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
  • 1 tsp Coriander seed / தனியா
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek seed / வெந்தயம்
  • 2 tsp Peanut / வேர்க் கடலை
  • 20 ml Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 3 nos Cardamom, Green / ஏலக்காய்
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala powder

Instructions
 

  • Add 10ml of oil in a pan and heat well
  • Fry channa chal, urad dhal, red chili, dhaniya, fenugreek, jeera, turmeric powder, asafoetida, pea nuts, cardamom
  • Grind the above fried items relatively thick
  • Wash and cut the sweet pumpkin
  • Add rest of oil in the pan and heat well
  • Add the cut sweet pumpkin
  • Add the ground paste
  • Add salt and stir well and allow to boil in medium flame
  • Add garam masala, chili powder stir well
  • Garnish with curry leaves
  • Eat hot with any rice item
