Tawa Fry Bhindi
Ingredients
- 500 gm Okra / வெண்டைக் காய்
- 2 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - chopped
- 10 pod Garlic / பூண்டு - smashed
- 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - long slit
- 2 tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
- 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
- 1 tsp Coriander powder / மல்லித் தூள்
- 1 tsp Mango powder, Dry
- 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
- ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
Instructions
- Wash well and pat dry the bhindi
- Cut the top and bottom parts and dispose of them
- Cut each bhindi into 2 or 3 pieces depending on the size, and then each piece into 4 lengthwise slices
- Heat 1tsp of oil in a pan
- Add bhindi and fry until stickiness disappears, keep aside
- Add rest of oil to the pan and heat
- Add cumin seeds and crackle it
- Add garlic, onion, green chili, curry leaves and fry until golden brown
- Add the fried bhindi, garam masala powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, amchur powder, salt and mix well
- Cook for 2~3min
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
- Serve hot
