Thalipeeth
Ingredients
- 2 cup Tapioca
- 250 gm Potato / உருளைக் கிழங்கு - peeled, boiled n mashed
- 100 gm Peanut / வேர்க் கடலை - roasted n coarsely ground
- 1 tsp Cumin powder / சீரகத் தூள்
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
- 100 ml Oil / எண்ணெய்
Instructions
- Soak tapioca for at least 5hrs, drain water and dry it such that there is no moisture in it
- Mix all the ingredients and make into a thick dough such that you can make a ball out of it, use oil/water if the dough is brittle
- Divide the dough into 8equal portions and make it a ball
- Over a smooth surface pat the ball to make a thin patties [use oil and/or water to grease]
- Heat a tawa in medium flame and toast the patties both sides until they are golden brown [pour oil along side, such that the patties will roast]
- Serve hot with curd
