Thinai Idli
Ingredients
- 3 cup Foxtail millet
- 1 cup Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
- 1 tbsp Fenugreek seed / வெந்தயம்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு
Instructions
- Soak foxtail millet (thinai) and urad dhal with fenugreek in water separately for 6+hours
- Grind urad dhal, fenugreek mixture into a fine batter, keep asode
- Grind foxtail millet into a fine batter
- Mix it with urad dhal batter
- Allow the batter to ferment for 6+hours
- Pour the idli batter into idli plates
- Steam it for 5~6min in high flame and another 3~5min in low flame
- Serve hot with Idli Milagai Podi and/or chutneys and/or sambar
