Tindora Pulav
Ingredients
- 2 cup Basmati Rice / பாசுமதி அரிசி
- 100 gm Tindora - long cut
- 1 inch Ginger / இஞ்சி
- 6 – 8 pod Garlic / பூண்டு
- 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - optional
- 2 tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
- 3 tbsp Coriander seed / தனியா
- 5 nos Cinnamon stick / லவங்கப் பட்டை
- 5 nos Black Pepper / மிளகு
- 4 – 5 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
- 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
Instructions
- Dry roast coriander seed, clove, black pepper, red chili, and grind, keep aside
- Grind ginger, garlic, green chili into a fine paste, keep aside
- Heat oil in a pan
- Temper cumin seeds and allow it to splutter
- Add ginger, garlic, green chili paste and fry till raw smell goes
- Add tindora and sauté for 2~3min
- Add the ground powder, salt and mix well
- Add rice and mix well and pressure cook it with sufficient water
- Serve hot
