Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup Basmati Rice / பாசுமதி அரிசி
  • 100 gm Tindora - long cut
  • 1 inch Ginger / இஞ்சி
  • 6 – 8 pod Garlic / பூண்டு
  • 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - optional
  • 2 tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
  • 3 tbsp Coriander seed / தனியா
  • 5 nos Cinnamon stick / லவங்கப் பட்டை
  • 5 nos Black Pepper / மிளகு
  • 4 – 5 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
  • 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்

Instructions
 

  • Dry roast coriander seed, clove, black pepper, red chili, and grind, keep aside
  • Grind ginger, garlic, green chili into a fine paste, keep aside
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Temper cumin seeds and allow it to splutter
  • Add ginger, garlic, green chili paste and fry till raw smell goes
  • Add tindora and sauté for 2~3min
  • Add the ground powder, salt and mix well
  • Add rice and mix well and pressure cook it with sufficient water
  • Serve hot
