Uppu Cheedai
Ingredients
- 2 cup Rice flour / அசிரி மாவு
- 2 tsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
- 2 tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
- 2 tsp Sesame seed, White / எள்ளு, வெள்ளை
- 1 tsp Black Pepper powder / மிளகுத்தூள்
- 4 tbsp Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - finely grated
- ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
Instructions
- Dry roast rice flour a little, keep aside
- Dry roast urad dhal until golden brown and grind into a fine powder
- Mix rice flour, urad dhal powder, white sesame, cumin, black pepper powder, asafoetida and mix well
- Dilute salt in water and mix along with above mix little by little
- The mix should be in such a consistency that it should not have lumps, should form a shape when held at the same time when pressed harder it should crumble
- Make 1cm balls with above
- Fry them in oil in medium flame until golden brown
- Drain oil and store in an airtight container
