Ingredients
  

  • 1 nos Drumstick / முருங்கைக் காய் - cut into 1½inch pieces
  • 10 – 15 pod Garlic / பூண்டு - smashed
  • 1 lemon size Tamarind extract / புளிக் கரைசல்
  • 2 tbsp Sambar Masala powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
  • 2 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய்
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek seed / வெந்தயம்
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 3 tbsp Sesame Oil / நல்லெண்ணெய்

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Temper and fry mustard, fenugreek, curry leaves in it
  • Add red chili, asafoetida, turmeric powder, sambar powder, red chili powder, garlic, drumstick and sauté well
  • Once well cooked add salt and tamarind extract and bring it to boil
  • Switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with rice
