Ingredients
  

  • 300 gm Okra / வெண்டைக் காய் - sliced
  • 2 cup Yogurt / தயிர்
  • 1 cup Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - grated
  • 5 - 6 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - adjust to your spice level
  • 1 tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • ½ cup Tamarind / புளி - extract
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 1 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்

Instructions
 

  • Heat little water along with tamarind extract
  • Add okra, cook until tender
  • Grind, coconut, green chili, yogurt, cumin
  • Add to cooked okra
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add mustard, allow it to splutter
  • Pour on to koottu, mix well

Notes

Serve hot along with rice
