Veppam Poo Rasam
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp Neem Flower, Dry / வேப்ப்பம் பூ, உலர்ந்தது - dried
- 1 lemon size Tamarind extract / புளிக் கரைசல்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - long slit
- 2 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய்
- 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
- 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
- 2 tbsp Ghee / நெய்
- 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
Instructions
- Hear a bowl
- Add salt, green chilli, asafoetida to the tamarind extract and allow it boil
- Let the tamarind extract reduce to half
- Add 2cups of water, allow it boil
- Take off the flame
- Heat oil in a pan
- Temper with mustard, red chilli
- Add neem flower and fry well
- Add curry leaves and fry as well
- Add it to the boiled tamarind water
- Garnish with coriander leaves
- Serve hot with rice and potato fry curry
