for Tempering

Instructions
Heat oil in a pan, add asparagus, sauté until tender
Add green chili, red chili, channa dhal, urad dhal
Fry about until dhal turns golden brown, allow it to cool
Grind above into fine paste, do not add water as much as possible
Tempering
Heat oil in the pan, add mustard, allow it to splutter
Add asafoetida
Mix well with the ground paste
Notes
Serve along with rotis and or hot rice
Variation
You may consider adding grated coconut when frying asparagus mix
