French Beans with Coconut Curry

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm French Beans, Fresh - chopped
  • 50 gm Carrot / காரெட் - chopped
  • 1 cup Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - grated
  • 4 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - , adjust to your spice level
  • 1 inch piece Ginger / இஞ்சி
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 1 tsp Chana Dhal / கடலைப் பருப்பு
  • 1 tsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - , adjust to your taste
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add mustard, allow them to crackle
  • Add channa dhal, urad dhal, fry until golden
  • Add fresh curry leaves, fry well
  • Add beans, carrot little by little and stir well
  • Add turmeric powder, salt, sprinkle little water (50ml)
  • Cook closed in low flame for 10min or until beans, carrot are tender
  • Grind green chili, coconut, ginger coarsely
  • Add the above ground paste, mix well

Notes

Serve hot with rice
