Instructions
Gravy
Roast peanuts, keep aside
Roast sesame seeds, keep aside
Roast coconut, keep aside
Sauté diced onion, mix with roasted peanut, sesame, coconut, allow to cool down
Grind it into a fine paste, keep aside
Main
Heat oil in a pan
Sauté sliced onion along with little salt until translucent
Add mustard seeds, allow it to splutter
Add cumin seeds
Add ginger, garlic paste, curry leaves
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder
Add the ground paste
Add water, mix well
Add jaggery, salt, mix well
Bring to a boil
Simmer for about 15~20min
Add yogurt, mix well
Add the sautéd onion
Allow it to rest for a few mins, the oil will start float on top

Serve hot along with biriyani
