Pressure cook thoor dal up to 4~5 whistles, cool it down
Strain cooked dal, keep the liquid aside
Heat ghee in a pan
Add cloves, cinnamon, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, allow the mustard to crackle
Add asafoetida, curry leaves, sauté for few seconds
Add drained liquid, green chili paste, ginger paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, jaggery, salt, pepper, mix well
Bring to a boil
Simmer for about 15min, stir well occasionally
Garnish with coriander leaves
