Dry roast, dry red chili, urad dhal, chana dhal, coriander seeds
Grind them into a fine paste along with coconut, keep aside
Pressure cook black channa, bitter gourd, little turmeric powder, little salt upto two whistles
Heat oil in a pan
Add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter
Add remaining turmeric powder, asafoetida, curry leaves
Add cooked black channa, bitter gourd and sauté well
Add tamarind extract, ground paste, cooked thoor dhal, remaining salt and mix well
Bring them to a boil
Switch off the flame
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
Server hot with rice
