Instructions
for Masala
Heat oil in a pan
Add mustard allow it to splutter
Add channa dhal, urad dhal, fry until golden brown
Add green chili, curry leaves, fry a little
Add onion, fry until translucent
Add turmeric powder, aafoetida, give a random mix
Add potato, salt, mix well
Add little water to get little loose consistency
Garnish with coriander
for Poori
Split the dough into equal smaller pieces (lemon size should be fine)
Roll them into circular poori
You may optionally cut them into any shape you want, kids might like unconventionally shaped poori
Fry the poori in oil
Turn them gently to fry over the other side
Pour oil using the laddle over the poori so that it will give puff
Notes
Serve hot with potato masala
