Puttu ( Malayalam: പുട്ട്, pronounced [puttu], Sinhala පිට්ටු, Tamil: புட்டு, பிட்டு ) is a South Indian and Sri Lankan breakfast dish of steamed cylinders of ground rice layered with coconut. It is highly popular in the Indian state of Kerala as well as in many areas of Sri Lanka, where it is also known as pittu. Mix Rice flour, salt and add water little by little
The mix should be in such a consistency that it should not have lumps, should form a shape when held at the same time when pressed harder it should crumble
Grease the puttu maker (see above picture) with little oil and fill in the puttu flour and coconut alternatively
