Instructions
Heat oil in a pan
Add mustard and allow it to crack
Add urad dhal, chana dhal and fry until golden brown
Add turmeric powder, asafoetida, curry leaves and fry well
Add snake gourd, salt and mix well
Add little water, lower the flame and cook closed for about 10min or until snake gourd is tender
Add red chili powder, besan, garam masala and mix well
Cook for another 5min
Serve hot with rice
