Heat 2tsp of oil in a pan
Add ginger, garlic, green chili and fry them well
Add onion fry till transparent
Add tomato and sauté them till it turns mushy
Add spinach and cook them till becomes ¼ of its size
Allow it to cool
Grind in a mixer into a coarse paste along with cooked thoor dhal
Heat rest of oil in the pan again
Temper mustard in it
Add red chili, curry leaves and fry it
Add asafoetida, turmeric powder, sambar powder and mix well
Add tamarind extract, ground paste, salt and 2cup of water and bring them to boil
Add jaggery
Serve hot with ragi muddhe or rice
