Instructions
Heat a pan and add 1tsp of oil
Temper mustard, once it starts spluttering add chana dhal and fry until golden brown
Add turmeric powder, asafoetida, red chili powder and sauté well
Add cut okra and oil alternately little by little and mix well
Allow it to cook for 10~15min [do not close the pan]
Occasionally mix the okra such that every piece gets its chance to be at bottom of the pan
Fry them in low flame until half of okra turns crispy
Serve hot with rice and sambar
