Ada Pradhaman
Ingredients
- ½ cup Rice / அரிசி - soaked for 6~8hrs
- 1 pinch Salt / உப்பு
- 1 pinch Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
- 250 gm Jaggery / வெல்லம்
- 250 ml Coconut Milk / தேங்காய்ப் பால் - Thick
- 500 ml Coconut Milk / தேங்காய்ப் பால் - Thin
- 2 tbsp Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - thinly sliced fried golden brown in ghee
- 10 nos Cashew nut / முந்திரிப் பருப்பு - fried golden brown in ghee
- 2 tbsp Raisin - fried in ghee
- 2 nos Cardamom, Green / ஏலக்காய் - powdered
- 2tbsp Ghee / நெய்
Instructions
- Drain water from soaked rice and grind it into smooth paste by ading little water to a dosa batter consistency
- Add pinch of salt, sugar to it and mix well
- Spread this into a thin layer in either banana leaf or in idli plates
- Steam cook it for 10~15min
- Allow it to cool
- Cut them into tiny pieces and wash them in running cold water so that they will not stick to each other
- Heat ghee in a pan
- Fry rice ada in low flame for few min
- Add jaggery water and bring to a boil simmer flame and allow it to thicken
- Add thin coconut milk and allow it to thicken again in medium flame
- Simmer the flame
- Add thick coconut milk bring to a boil
- Add cashew nuts, raisins, coconut slices, cardamom powder and mix well
- Serve hot or cold
