Ingredients
- 12 nos Pav
- 250 gm Potato / உருளைக் கிழங்கு - boiled, peeled and smashed
- 6 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய் - adjust to your spice level
- 3 tbsp Coriander seed / தனியா
- 1 tbsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
- 5 nos Cinnamon stick / லவங்கப் பட்டை
- 1 inch Cinnamon stick / லவங்கப் பட்டை
- ½ tbsp Black Pepper / மிளகு
- ½ cup Pomegranate seeds
- 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 tbsp Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
- 100 gm Sev
- 50 gm Peanut / வேர்க் கடலை - roasted
- 50 gm Butter / வெண்ணெய்
- 2 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - finely chopped (optional)
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - finely chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Dry roast dry red chili, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, clove, cinnamon and black pepper
- Grind the above into fine powder
- Heat oil in a pan, add above powder fry it for a min
- Add potato, salt and mix well
- If needed add little water an cook closed for 2~3min [this should be in thick and solid consistency]
- Mix pomegranate seed, sev, roasted peanuts, onion, coriander leaves and keep aside
- Heat tawa in medium flame
- Cut pav into half, apply butter and toast it
- Fill potato mixture, sprinkle the sev mixture in between the pav
- Serve hot
