Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup Thoor dhal / துவரம் பருப்பு
  • 1 cup Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - grated
  • 4 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய் - (adjust to your spice level)
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper / மிளகு
  • ½ tsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 2 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு - (adjust to your taste)

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Dry roast red chili, thoor dhal, black pepper until thoor dhal turns golden brown
  • Add asafoetida, keep aside, allow it to cool
  • Grind above along with coconut into a fine paste
  • Add salt, mix well

Notes

Serve along with hot rice and Milagu Kuzhambu
