Raw Banana Tikki
Ingredients
- 2 cup Banana, raw / வாழைக் காய் - boiled and mashed
- ¾ cup Onion / வெங்காயம் - chopped
- ½ cup Mint leaves, Fresh / புதீனா இலை
- ½ cup Cumin powder / சீரகத் தூள்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 4 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
for Green Chutney
- ½ cup Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
- 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய்
- ½ cup Onion / வெங்காயம் - chopped
- 1" piece Ginger / இஞ்சி - chopped
- 3 nos Garlic / பூண்டு
- ½ tsp Chaat Masala
- 1" piece Ginger / இஞ்சி - chopped
- 3 nos Garlic / பூண்டு
- ½ tsp Chaat Masala
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add onion sauté until transparent
- Add mint leaves, sauté until soft
- Turn off flame, allow it to cool
- Grind coriander leaves, green chili, onion, ginger, garlic, chaat masala into smooth paste
- Add 2tbsp of above paste and sautéed onion, mint to the mashed banana
- Add salt, cumin powder
- Mix into a dough consistency
- Roll it into long cylindrical roll
- Cut them into 1inch (approx) pieces
- Press it randomly to make it flat
- Pre-heat oven to 180°C
- Grease the tikkis with little oil
- Bake the tikkis for 15 min
- Turn them and bake for another 10min

Serve hot along with rest of green chutney
