Sekihan
Ingredients
- ½ cup Azuki Beans - soaked overnight
- 1 cup Mochi Rice
- 1 cup Rice / அரிசி
- 1 tbsp Sesame seed, Black / எள்ளு, கருப்பு - dry roasted
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
Instructions
- Boil water in a pot, lower the flame
- Cover and cook azuki bean for about 45min, so that the beans become salt
- Drain the liquid in a cup, set both cooked beans and drained azuki liquid aside
- Mix and wash mochi rice and rice together
- Add cooked azuki bean, drained azuki liquid and top up water
- Mix and cook rice until soft
- Garnish with sesame salt
- Serve hot
