Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Plantain Tree Stem / வாழைத்தண்டு - peeled and chopped
  • 1 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - chopped
  • 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - chopped
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
  • 1 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Chana Dhal / கடலைப் பருப்பு
  • 1 tsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
  • 1 pinch Asafetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 1 tsp Dry Mango powder
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add mustard and allow it to splutter
  • Add chana dhal, urad dhal and fry until golden brown
  • Add green chili, curry leaves and fry well
  • Add onion and sauté well
  • Add salt, asafoetida and mix well
  • Add plantain stem and mix thoroughly
  • Closed cook for about 10min
  • Add coriander leaves and mix well
  • Add curd and mix thoroughly
  • Garnish with more coriander leaves and serve
