Chana Dhal / கடலைப் பருப்பு

Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு

Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய்

Sesame Oil / நல்லெண்ணெய்

Tamarind / புளி

Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்

Instructions
Heat ½tsp sesame oil in a pan
Add channa dhal, urad dhal and fry until golden brown
Add dry red chili and fry until fragrant - keep aside
Add ½tsp sesame oil in the same pan
Add chayote squash peel and fry until it wilts
Add tamarind and fry well
Add asafoetida and mix well
Allow it cool
Grind above in a mixer into a fine paste
Transfer into a bowl
Add salt and mix well
Notes
Serve along with Rotis and/or rice
